KDDI and Disney introduce Disney Pass, enabling customers to fully customize au smartphones with Disney content and smartphone covers

1. Disney Pass service details

1. (1) Fully customize au smartphones, inside and out, with Exclusive au Accessory Set
   With the purchase of a Disney smartphone cover designed exclusively for au, customers receive unlimited access to content for 180 days. Customers can fully customize the inside and outside of their au smartphones with Disney.

2. (2) Unlimited access to Disney content

   • Customers can fully customize their au smartphones with a variety of Disney content, including 150 Disney songs, original games, live wallpaper, dress-up simulators, alarms, calendars, and more.
   • Users can access functions enjoyed by the Disney fan community, such events that welcome user participation, and game competitions. Special content and events are also available for occasions such as character anniversaries and Christmas.
   • New content will continue to be released in the future, and a variety of exclusive au content is also planned.
   • In addition, other fun items such as wallpaper and content featuring the voices of Disney characters will be offered exclusively to au Smart Pass subscribers as a membership benefit.

   

3. (3) Rich selection of exclusive benefits for Disney Pass subscribers
   Subscribers receive access to benefits such as shopping discounts at the Disney Store.

4. (4) Smartphone video apps for enjoying Disney channels are the first to be offered by a mobile carrier in Japan!
   KDDI is the first mobile carrier in Japan to offer the WATCH Disney Channel and WATCH Disney Junior video apps, which enable users to watch real-time TV broadcasts from the Disney Channel and Disney Junior [1]. In addition to watching real-time broadcasts, customers can also enjoy episodes of their favorite programs whenever they choose.
   
   There are also future plans to offer a Dlife app that enables on-demand viewing of programs from the Dlife BS TV station.

The two types of service shown below are available.

  Sales price varies depending on the accessory. Monthly installment payments are available if the customer also purchases an au smartphone at the same time. The monthly content service charge is automatically applied starting on the month after 180 days has elapsed.

3. Supported models

au smartphones running Android (TM) 4.0 or later, and iOS 6.0 or later.

  (1) Access the Disney Pass website

  (2) Go to the top of au Smart Pass and select "Smart Pass" followed by "Disney Pass".

  (3) From a shortcut on an au smartphone, download the Disney Pass app (Android (TM) devices only)

  Prior to the launch of the service, users will also be able to access a special website featuring wallpaper and various other Disney Pass content that will be updated weekly.
