KDDI and Okinawa Cellular have created new au WALLET commercials starring George Tokoro, which will begin airing on May 16, 2014, prior to the au WALLET service launch scheduled for May 21, 2014.

au WALLET is a new type of electronic wallet that can be used at a variety of shops to make purchases and accumulate points. The service's "Goodbye, Wallet!" slogan is meant to communicate the idea that users can simply take their mobile phone and au WALLET Card when they go shopping, for greater convenience and savings.
George Tokoro, who is known for his free-wheeling pursuit of diverse interests across a wide range of fields, fittingly personifies the image of the au WALLET service.

In the new commercials, Tokoro combines humor with his distinct way of speaking to communicate the appeal of au WALLET from the customer's perspective.
