From late September 2021 (scheduled), KDDI and Okinawa Cellular Telephone Company plan to launch "povo2.0," with a monthly basic charge of 0 yen for au's online-only brand povo, and 10 types of toppings can be freely selected according to the customer's lifestyle.

For "povo2.0," subscribers can select a base plan with a basic charge of 0 yen, and use "voice toppings" such as unlimited voice, and 6 types of "data toppings" such as 60GB (90 days) that can be used for actually 1,967 yen (2,163 yen including tax) / month and "contents toppings" such as "DAZN" and "smash." are unlimited use [1] including data for a certain period of time and subscribers can freely purchase whenever need them.
Furthermore, by utilizing "#Giga Katsu," which earns data credits through various stores and services used in daily life such as convenience stores and restaurants, "povo2.0" can increase subscriber satisfaction.
povo is an online-only brand with the concept of "To the freedom that is suit for you, together." As the usage of smartphones diversifies, by evolving from a rate plan that uses a fixed data capacity on a monthly basis to a plan "povo2.0" that each customer uses according to their lifestyle, we will continue to allow this concept further evolve.
With the start of "povo2.0," the "povo2.0 debut campaign" launches September 13, 2021. Those who purchase the target data topping with "povo2.0" after pre-entry will receive up to 20GB of data - depending upon the amount of data purchased first.
In addition, the name of the povo rate plan currently being offered is changed to "povo 1.0," and acceptance of new applications is scheduled to end in late September 2021.

We will start a new data plan activity called "#Giga Katsu" where subscribers can collect data credits by using various shops and services on a daily basis.
In "#Giga Katsu," subscribers can "earn" a data credits by using a store which subscribers use every day, "search" for a data credits hidden in the city or a virtual event, and "win" a data credits by using a store or online service. We will implement three initiatives. Customers can use convenience stores and restaurants to earn data credits and use "povo2.0" in a fun and profitable way.

povo launches "#Giga-Katsu" to collect data for daily shopping and service usage
With the start of "povo2.0," the name of the rate plan currently being offered will be changed to "povo1.0" and acceptance of new applications is scheduled to end in late September 2021. Customers who have subscribed can continue to use "povo1.0," but if they wish to change to "povo2.0," the prescribed procedure is required.
