New Plans―Including Data MAX 4G LTE―Starting from ￥3,460 a Month with Unlimited Data Usage to Launch from June 2

―Plans Start from ￥1,980/Month for Data Usage Under 2GB―

Starting from June 2, 2020, KDDI and Okinawa Cellular will offer Data MAX 4G LTE and the Data MAX 4G LTE Netflix Pack for 4G LTE smartphones with unlimited data usage [1].

In these plans, on top of the unlimited [1] data usage as in the previous au Data MAX Plan Pro, monthly prices will automatically be discounted by ¥1,480 [2] if monthly data usage is under 2GB. In addition, discounts from Family Discount Plus will be increased from the previous maximum of ¥1,000 to a maximum of ¥2,020 (when 4 family members subscribe).
Following this change, Data MAX 4G LTE will start at ¥3,460 (¥1,980 yen for data usage under 2GB). The Data MAX 4G LTE Netflix Pack, which includes subscriptions for Netflix (Basic Plan) and TELASA [3], will start at ¥4,260 (¥2,780 for data usage under 2GB).

In addition, beginning on June 2, 2020, Flat Rate Calling 2 and Flat Rate Calling Light 2 will be available for voice calls and other options.

Furthermore, the New au Adjust Plan N for 4G LTE smartphones will be renamed Adjust Plan 4G LTE following the launch of Adjust Plan 5G for 5G smartphones.
Additionally, new applications for the current au Data MAX Plan Pro, au Data MAX Plan Netflix Pack, au Flat Plan 25 Netflix Pack N, au Flat Plan 20N, au Flat Plan 7 Plus N, Flat Rate Calling and Flat Rate Calling Light plans will no longer be accepted from June 1, 2020.

  When using for tethering, data sharing and international roaming (World Data Flat), the maximum limit is 30GB/month for Data MAX 4G LTE and 40GB/month for the Data MAX 4G Netflix Pack. Data speed will be restricted when you use services that require significant data communication or long sessions, such as video sharing and streaming services. Services subject to the restriction are chosen according to their impact on KDDI's network. Internet service, however, will not be disrupted.
  If you use a significant amount of data over a specified period, the data speed will be restricted during peak times.

  If your data usage is 2GB or less, a ¥1,480 discount will apply. For the time being, the discount will apply from the following month.

  Service is scheduled to start from April 7, 2020. Video Pass is available until April 6, 2020.

  Unless you request not to, this contract will automatically renew every 2 years. If the contract is canceled during the term, a contract cancellation fee (¥1,000) will apply (excluding the contract renewal period, which is the 3 months including the month, the following month and 2 months after the 2-year contract N expires).

  Calls to satellite maritime telephones are ¥50 for every 30 seconds.

  Calls to phone numbers set by other companies starting with 0180 (Teledome), 0570 (Navi Dial, etc.), Directory Assistance (104), the Government 1XY service (188), #Dial (Quick Dial), SMS transmissions, satellite phones/satellite maritime phones, and calls to phone numbers specified separately by KDDI, are not applicable. International calls and calls made and received from outside Japan are also excluded. Call charges are charged according to the applicable service.
