Tokyo, April 17, 2019―From today, Wednesday, April 17, Rakuten, Inc. will begin providing the comprehensive logistics service "Rakuten Super Logistics for Wowma!" for merchants on the internet shopping mall Wowma!, operated by KDDI Corporation and au Commerce and Life, Inc.
Since November 2018, KDDI and Rakuten have been mutually using the assets held by each company in the areas of payment, logistics, and telecommunication to further bolster the competitiveness of each companies' services in these fields under a strategy of cooperation to promote competition. The initiative in the area of logistics is part of this initiative.
Rakuten has established the "One Delivery" vision for a comprehensive end-to-end logistics service, and has been working to bolster its in-house logistics services such as Rakuten Super Logistics, which offers comprehensive logistics services from product storage through to shipment for merchants on Rakuten Ichiba, and Rakuten EXPRESS, Rakuten's door-to-door delivery service.
Until now, Rakuten Super Logistics has provided its services to merchants on Rakuten Ichiba. Through this new shared initiative, Rakuten Super Logistics has extended its service  to cover merchants on Wowma! as well, allowing Rakuten to contribute to the efficient and secure delivery of goods to Wowma! customers. KDDI and aCL will actively encourage Wowma! merchants to use Rakuten Super Logistics.
Going forward, KDDI and Rakuten will continue to mutually use the assets held by each company in payments, logistics and telecommunications to further improve service quality and convenience for their respective customers.
A logistics fulfillment service for merchants on the general shopping mall Wowma! The Wowma! logo will be attached to packing boxes of eligible goods, which will then be shipped.
