4. How to apply

Applications can be made at au shops, electrical appliance mass retailers, au dealers, au Online shop, etc.

5. Big News Campaign

Customers receive a discount of ¥1,000 off their monthly charges for 12 months from the following month if they subscribe [2] to au Flat Plan when making a new contract or changing to a new model [5].

  This service is not available when making a new contract or changing models involving purchase of iPhone 7/iPhone 7 Plus/iPhone 6s/iPhone 6s Plus/iPhone SE/iPhone 6/iPhone 6 Plus/iPhone 5s/iPhone 5c/iPhone 5.
  However, customers who already use one of the above iPhones may subscribe to this service by changing their rate plan.

  This is the amount when Everybody Discount is applied. (Everybody Discount is automatically renewed in 2 year units. If the service is terminated at any time outside the renewal period, a contract cancellation fee of ¥9,500 is incurred.)

  Monthly points are not earned with au Flat Plan.

  Some of the points earned with au STAR Loyal based on usage from July 2017 to December 2017 are awarded as monthly points. The remaining au STAR Loyal points are awarded collectively in January 2018. After that, points are awarded on a monthly basis.

  Points earned for every ¥1,000 (excluding tax) are awarded the following month, based on flat-rate charges (total amount for basic charges, flat-rate data services and internet connection) for each subscription to an eligible rate plan as of the end of the month. However, when subscribed to LTE NET for DATA, points are calculated based on subscription to LTE NET. When subscribed to au Smart Value or au Smart Value mine, points are calculated based on flat-rate charges after deduction of discounts.

  Applications can be made online and at au shops and the au Customer Service Center.

  For mobile phones purchased on and after July 14, 2017, changing between au Pitatto Plan/au Flat Plan and other rate plans will not be permitted from February 2018 onwards (excluding changes accompanying purchase of a mobile phone).

• No monthly discount is applied with au Flat Plan. If a customer changes to au Flat Plan while a monthly discount is applied, the monthly discount will be terminated.
• All of the indicated amounts exclude tax unless otherwise specified.
