BASIO releases a new color
au's first smartphone for seniors welcomes a deep red that exudes luxury

From late January 2016, BASIO, au's first smartphone for seniors, will add a new red color.

BASIO was released on February 13, 2015, selected by KDDI as an introductory smartphone model with a focus on senior customers. We have taken this opportunity to add a new red color due to past high demand from customers, mainly those in their sixties. With the addition of this color, customers now have a wider selection of BASIO smartphones to choose from.

Furthermore, the new red BASIO now supports displaying the e-mail app so that it resembles the familiar display from mobile phones [10] [11]. Text is larger than the conventional models for easier viewing so that even first-time users can use the smartphone comfortably.
