KDDI and Okinawa Cellular have announced plans to release the GRATINA2, a feature phone with an improved design and greater user-friendliness than the previous model, in early February 2015.

The GRATINA2 is the new version of the GRATINA model, which has garnered high praise from users since its release in September 2013. The GRATINA2 maintains the popular features of the previous model, such as the strong resistance to water, dust, and impact, as well as the high-capacity 1,020 mAh battery and Kyocera's unique Smart Sonic Receiver (R), which makes it easy to hear the voice of the other party, even in noisy environments. In addition, the new model utilizes high-quality materials in the buttons, boasts a rounded form that fits comfortably in the hand, improves user-friendliness, and comes in a selection of four colors. These features give the new model an unprecedented level of operational comfort and a high-quality feel.

The GRATINA2 also offers greater convenience with support for new au services, such as the ability to charge up an au WALLET electronic money card and check the points, and the ability to directly access Select Pack, which provides unlimited use of exclusive au services.

The GRATINA2 will go on display from January 20, 2015 at au SHINJUKU (Shinjuku, Tokyo), au NAGOYA (Sakae, Nagoya), au OSAKA (Umeda, Osaka), and au FUKUOKA (Tenjin, Fukuoka).
