1. About the Unlimited Voice Call Plan and Flat-rate Data

(1) Details

• The Unlimited Voice Call Plan is rate plan that includes domestic voice calling charges for au smartphones and au mobile phones in the basic charge [1]. This plan can be used at a flat rate regardless of length of calls or how many calls are made.
• Flat-rate Data is a service that provides six data quantities (2GB, 3GB, 5GB, 8GB, 10GB, and 13GB) users can choose from.
  The quantity of data communication and the way it is used vary from customer to customer. With this service, customers can choose the optimum quantity detailed just for them. Also, customers can use the service at a cheaper unit price by selecting services with larger data quantities.
• The new rate plan is eligible for the au Smart Value discount of ¥1,410 [2] for up to two years. Also, in line with the launch of the new rate plan, au mobile phones will also be eligible for au Smart Value and get a discount of ¥934 [3], allowing users to use their devices at a bargain.

  Flat-rate voice calls with the Unlimited Voice Call Plan do not apply to voice calls to phone numbers starting with 0180, 0570, or other numbers that are charged by other carriers, voice calls to directory assistance (104), SMS transmissions, voice calls to satellite phones/ship satellite phones, and voice calls to phone numbers that KDDI separately determine. Also, international calls and calls made to and from overseas are not applicable.

  After two years, the maximum discount is ¥934. For Flat-rate Data 2 and Flat-rate Data 3, the maximum discount is ¥934 regardless whether two years have passed.

  A contract for both Unlimited Voice Call Plan and Flat-rate Data is required.

  • If using a 3G smartphone, the data charge is a maximum of ¥5,700.
  • If using by connecting a PC or other device, the data charge is a maximum of ¥9,900.

  Double-Teigaku and other packet flat-rate services cannot be used.

• Everybody Discount is offered on the basis of a two-year contract. If you cancel or suspend the contract, or terminate Everybody Discount during the contract period, you will be charged a contract cancellation fee of ¥9,500 (excluding the renewal month), regardless of how long you have used the service. The two-year contract period will be renewed automatically unless you request termination.
• If the total amount of communications of the month exceeds the data quantity for that month, the maximum communication speed for sending and receiving until the end of that month will be 128 kbps. (The communication speed restriction will be removed on the first day of the following month.) If you purchase data quantity with the Data Charge service, the communication restriction does not apply to the purchased quantity.
• To avoid network congestion, if using a 4G LTE smartphone, a limit will be placed on communication speed for a whole day if you have used more than 1GB over the three most recent days (not including the day on which the restriction is applied). The restricted speed will differ depending on data traffic conditions.
• All the charges indicated above exclude taxes unless otherwise noted.

2. About Data Gifting

(1) Details

The Data Gifting service is a service where family members can give data quantities to each other when needed at no addition charge in real time, such as a parent giving a specific quantity of data to their child. By combining Data Gifting and Flat-rate Data, customers can freely use their data quantities and give their extra data quantities to their family to use without going to waste.

• A subscription to Flat-rate Data, LTE Flat for Tab/Tab (i)/DATA (m), or LTE Flat for Tab cp/Tab (i)/DATA (m) cp is required, as well as registration to a combined billing/KDDI Collective Billing Service group or an au Smart Value group.

• Data Gifting can be used from the Data Charge website. An au ID is required to use the Data Charge website.
• The data from the monthly data quantity can be given with Data Gifting. Data quantity that is charged with Data Charge cannot be given.

3. About Data Charge

(1) Details

Data Charge is a service where you can purchase data quantities in real time when you exceed your monthly data quantity.

4. About the Long-Term Bonus Data Gift

(1) Details

Long-term customers will receive additional data every three months starting from their sixth year.
