In late October 2013, KDDI and Okinawa Cellular will improve their next-generation high-speed 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) communication services, by providing high-speed data communications at a maximum downlink speed of 150 Mbps [1]. After launching the service in some areas of Chiba prefecture, availability will be gradually expanded across Japan.
