In late October 2013, KDDI and Okinawa Cellular will begin releasing a diverse series of 12 new products, including 6 au smartphones, 2 au mobile phones, a tablet, a digital photo frame, a GPS device, and a WiMAX2+ mobile router. [1]

• Six cutting-edge 800 MHz LTE smartphones and a tablet
   The outstanding smartphone lineup will include the isai, an original model developed jointly by KDDI and LG with a focus on the concept of "mastery", the Xperia (TM) Z1, which is the latest in the popular classic series, the GALAXY Note 3, the AQUOS PHONE SERIE, the ARROWS Z, and the DIGNO (R) M. The ARROWS Tab, an Android (TM) tablet, will also be included in the lineup.
   All models support the 800 MHz LTE platinum band and provide high-speed data communications at a maximum downlink speed of 150 Mbps [2], which enables cutting-edge smartphones to be used comfortably.

• Triple-hybrid mobile router that supports WiMAX2+, WiMAX, and 4G LTE
   In addition to supporting LTE and WiMAX, this is au's first mobile router to support WiMAX2+. In WiMAX2+ areas, the router supports high-speed data communications at a maximum downlink speed of 110 Mbps. In addition, support for 800 MHz LTE enables users to comfortably enjoy mobile Internet regardless of their location.

• Two au mobile phone models that are easy to use for everyone
   In addition to the GRATINA, which has already been released and is available in five different colors, the MARVERA, a stress-free model with a high-speed CPU, will also be available. Both models are equipped with a 1,020 mAh high-capacity battery, which is the most powerful battery of any au mobile phone.

• Digital photo frame and GPS device that enrich the user's daily life
   The lineup will include the PHOTO-U TV, a waterproof 10.1-inch personal display device with recording functions, as well as the ANSHIN GPS, which enables users to remotely monitor location data via a registered smartphone.

   The smartphone models announced today will go on display from October 3, 2013 at the KDDI Designing Studio (Harajuku, Tokyo), au NAGOYA (Sakae, Nagoya), and au OSAKA (Umeda, Osaka).
