  • Existing au customers can also subscribe to this service without purchasing a new device. [16]

4. How to apply

Applications can be made at au shops, electrical appliance mass retailers, au dealers, au Online shop, etc.

5. Big News Campaign

Customers receive a discount of ¥1,000 off their monthly charges for 12 months from the following month if they subscribe [3] to au Pitatto Plan when making a new contract or changing to a new model [5].

    When subscribed to au Pitatto Plan (Super Kakeho) or au Pitatto Plan (Simple), Everybody Discount is applied and data usage is less than 1GB. When subscribed to au Pitatto Plan (Super Kakeho) and au Smart Value is applied

    However, customers who already use one of the above iPhones may subscribe to this service by changing their rate plan.

    Monthly points are not earned with au Pitatto Plan.

    Some of the points earned with au STAR Loyal based on usage from July to December 2017 are awarded as monthly points. The remaining au STAR Loyal points are awarded collectively in January 2018. After that, points are awarded on a monthly basis.

    Points earned for every ¥1,000 (excluding tax) are awarded the following month, based on the flat-rate charges (total amount for basic charges, flat-rate data service and internet connection) for each subscription to an eligible rate plan as of the end of the month. However, when subscribed to LTE NET for DATA, points are calculated based on subscription to LTE NET. When subscribed to au Smart Value or au Smart Value mine, points are calculated based on the flat-rate charges after deduction of discounts.

    Customers who use an au mobile phone or au smartphone

    Applications can be made online and at au shops and the au Customer Service Center.

    Speed restrictions are applied to usage over 20GB.

    This is the amount when Everybody Discount is applied. (Everybody Discount is automatically renewed in 2 year units. If the service is terminated at any time outside the renewal period, a contract cancellation fee of ¥9,500 is incurred.)

    The charge for July 2017 usage is a uniform ¥3,480 regardless of amount of data usage. In this case, the au Smart Value discount is ¥500.

    The charge for July 2017 usage is a uniform ¥4,480 regardless of amount of data usage. In this case, the au Smart Value discount is ¥500.
  • [15]
    The charge for July 2017 usage is a uniform ¥2,980 regardless of amount of data usage. In this case, the au Smart Value discount is not applied.
  • [16]
    For devices purchased on and after July 14, 2017, changes between au Pitatto Plan/au Flat Plan and other rate plans will not be permitted after February 2018 (excluding changes accompanying purchase of a device).
  • No monthly discount is applied with au Pitatto Plan. If a customer changes to au Pitatto Plan while a monthly discount is applied, the monthly discount will be terminated.
  • All of the indicated amounts exclude tax unless otherwise specified.
