No.2015-155
December 3,2015
On December 3, 2015, KDDI and Okinawa Cellular starts providing RealTimes for au for au smartphones and tablets, which you can use to create short movies by combining photos, videos, and music and share them using phone numbers and email addresses in your address book.
As the performance of cameras built in smartphones has gotten higher, communications using photos and videos are rapidly spreading. Our research shows 90% of our customers have experienced shooting videos with smartphones, and 40% of them need to share videos with their families and parents but do not because of the "inability to shoot good videos" and "not knowing how to share them."
To meet this need, RealTimes for au provides the function to automatically create [1] dramatic short movies up to three minutes in length (made of approx. 30 photos) just by opening the app from all the photos and videos stored on the smartphone based on the kind of information, including date of shooting, children's smile, and locations such as travel destination. You can easily send created movies to your parents living even in remote locations by selecting from your address book. You can play back shared movies with one touch in the app or by tapping the URLs from SMSs or emails on smartphones, tablets, or PCs [2].
KDDI and Okinawa Cellular will continue to suggest more convenient and comfortable communication services.
