KDDI to sell select products which users do not usually come across in online and au Shops! au WALLET Market to open this summer

1. Overview of au WALLET Market

au WALLET Market is a new proposal type of shopping service which allows users to buy "slightly better things" that help to enrich their daily life in online or conventional stores.

2. About products carried

    In au Shops, the staff will use in-store tablets to introduce and help users purchase products and subscription items that match their preferences and requests. The purchased items are delivered to the users' homes.

    • Some of the products can be collected at the nearest au Shop.
    • Delivery dates will vary depending on the product. Check the date before applying.

      Product contents

      au and producers all across Japan will deliver daily necessities and carefully selected products that users do not usually come across. We also sell subscription items which are delivered monthly, such as products that do not compromise on food safety and special products hand-picked by professionals like Akikawa Foods and Farms Co., Ltd. (Head office: Yamaguchi-shi, Yamaguchi, Representative Director and President: Tadashi Akikawa) and Shokubunka (Head office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director and President: Akifumi Hagiwara).

      We will also start selling miscellaneous goods with a focus on the latest smartphone accessories that are carried in HYPER MARKET, a mobile accessory shop in Harajuku operated by KDDI.

4. About tie-up with au WALLET service

Users can access au WALLET Market directly from the au WALLET app besides checking the remaining balance and points of their au WALLET Card on the au WALLET Market website. Furthermore, when using au WALLET to shop at au WALLET Market, users can earn up to 3X WALLET points [Note]. They can also use WALLET points to pay for purchases.

    In cases where users choose to pay using au Simple Payment, au WALLET credit card at au WALLET Market.
    This includes points awarded by credit card companies (2 points for every 200 yen (including tax) spent using au WALLET credit card). WALLET points will be awarded at a later date. It may take up to about 2 months for the awarded points to be credited.

The number of stores will be expanded gradually from the current four―
