No.2014-185
October 27,2014
From October 28, 2014, KDDI and Okinawa Cellular, together with KDDI Financial Service inc. (President: Takashi Ishizuki; Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo), will launch the issue of a Visa-branded au WALLET Credit Card as a new au WALLET service.
The au WALLET Credit Card will deliver benefits to au users, allowing them to pay for everyday shopping and public utilities as well as au usage fees.
As a benefit for using the service, users can earn WALLET points according to the amount spent with the credit card. Users can earn even more points by using their au WALLET Credit Card to pay at point advantage stores (24 companies, approx. 22,000 stores) [1] [2].
One point is worth ¥1, and earned WALLET points can be used to pay au WALLET Credit Card charges or au usage fees as well as for purchase or repair of au mobile terminals. Points can also be charged to au WALLET Cards and used to pay for daily shopping.
In addition, use of the au WALLET Credit Card brings a wide range of credit card services, including automatic enrollment in Shopping Anshin Insurance, which provides 90-day compensation for purchased goods, and Overseas Travel Anshin Insurance, which provides coverage for accidents while travelling abroad.
