KDDI has established a new company named KDDI VALUE ENABLER CORPORATION (head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; president: Hiroshi Hishioka; hereinafter "KVE"). This company will be responsible for developing a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) business.

KDDI has received requests from various business partners asking that the Company provide a model allowing for more flexible sales of mobile services.
KVE was established to respond to these requests by acting as an MVNO and working with various partners to create services targeting price-conscious customers. Through these efforts, we aim to expand the number of light users of smart devices like smartphones and table PCs.

KDDI has previously contributed to the creation of value in the mobile communications market by offering usage of its networks to MVNOs. Going forward, we will work to further respond to customer needs by promoting the creation of a diverse range of services to be provided by KVE and various partners.
